Barnsley: Portrait of a town
Having won joint 1st place in a local competition inspired by Pioneering Photographer, Diane Arbus. Lucy Denny exhibited some of her most recent work, Thirteen Years of Failure, among eight other young artists in Barnsley: Portrait of a Town, which will include the work of three local photographers.
Adam Summerscales, Amelia Boston, and Sean O’Connell, who all hail from Barnsley and the surrounding areas, were commissioned to portray their unique perspectives of the town, culminating in a multi-faceted and intimate exploration of the place they call home.
The exhibition, Barnsley: Portrait of a Town, will run from May 13 to July 22 and aims to offer a pause for reflection amidst an unprecedented economic, cultural, and physical change in the town.
