About me
Born in Barnsley, 2000
Lucy Denny is a documentary photographer based in the North of England. Through her camera lens, Denny's photography focuses on the evolution of northern cities, towns, and villages. She documents the beauty and hardships of these places, but Barnsley, South Yorkshire, is where she finds the most photographic inspiration. She is an award-winning photographer, as her work has been associated with Barnsley Civic, Artist Rooms, Tate, and the National Galleries of Scotland.
In 2023, she completed her BA (Hons) in Photography, graduating from the University of Huddersfield. Most recently, she completed her initial teacher training as an A Level photography teacher at an Ofsted 'Outstanding' sixth form college in West Yorkshire.
